Tour Itinerary
*Day 1 – Saturday 12th : Home – Wellington (D)
Coach departs New Plymouth mid-morning heading south towards Wellington collecting fellow students along the way.
If departing from other locations your travel arrangements will be made for you, and you will be sent a personalized pre and post tour travel pack.
Free time in Wellington city with a chance to visit Te Papa, New Zealand’s National Museum.
Tonight we head out for Ten Pin Bowling & Pizza.

*Day 2 – Sunday 13th : Wellington – Kaikoura (B, D)
Catch the ferry over the Cook Straight to the spectacular South Island.
Travel down the beautiful coast to Kaikoura and see seals along the way.
Enjoy the views from the cliff tops on the Peninsula Walkway.
Experience some of the famous Kaikoura marine life by choosing to do one of the following optional activities: - Kayaking or Fishing. (see activity folder for information).
Soak in the pools at our great accommodation.

*Day 3 – Monday 14th : Kaikoura – Christchurch (B,D)
Early morning optional activity: Dolphin Swim or Whale Watching.
Head through to Christchurch to collect our fellow travelers joining today.
Visit the fantastic International Antarctic Centre, an interactive, fun and exciting experience!
Swim and enjoy the facilities at our great campground.

*Day 4 – Tuesday 15th : Christchurch – Tekapo (B,D)
Visit the Cookie Time factory shop for some yummy treats
Head to the picturesque Lake Tekapo and take a dip in the lake and visit Tekapo Springs to soak in the famous hot pools.

*Day 5 – Wednesday 16th : Tekapo – Queenstown (B,D)
Travel through Lord of the Rings country stopping at one of the most epic lakes of the South Island
Arrive into Queenstown – The adventure capital of the world!
Go up the Gondola for a bird’s eye view of the region
Enjoy five awesome LUGE rides
Free time before heading to our accommodation for the next three nights.

*Day 6 – Thursday 17th : Queenstown (B,D)
Today is a free day to enjoy the many optional activities and attractions Queenstown has to offer. Transport and booking assistance will be given from your tour guides (see activity folder).
Enjoy some of the many great walks in the area, visit the shopping mall or simply relax on the beach and swim the day away.

*Day 7 – Friday 18th : Queenstown (B,D)
The final free day to enjoy the many optional activities and attractions Queenstown has to offer. Transport and booking assistance will be given from your tour guides (see activity folder).
Night in town at Kingpin for dinner, Ten Pin Bowling & Arcade games.

*Day 8 – Saturday 19th : Queenstown – Franz Josef (B,D)
Travel through to Wanaka and visit Puzzling World.
Head towards the Wild West Coast stopping for amazing photo stops of lakes, waterfalls, and enjoy some great short walks.
West Coast Beach exploring for Pounamu (Greenstone) and Dolphin spotting.
After dinner take a delightful short walk which follows a stream through the rainforest to view Glow Worms.

*Day 9 – Sunday 20th : Franz Josef – Punakaiki (B,D)
Wake up with amazing views of the Southern Alps with an optional activity of a Scenic Flight including snow landing on Franz Glacier.
Visit West Coast Wildlife Centre to see Kiwis.
Stop at Hokitika’s Greenstone factory.
Visit the famous Pancake Rocks and Blow Holes.
Toast marshmallows on the campfire at our seaside accommodation.

*Day 10 – Monday 21st : Punakaiki - Abel Tasman (B,D)
Wake up to the sound of waves with the optional short walk into the Paparoa National Park.
Follow the mighty Buller River to the Buller Gorge Adventure and Heritage Park and experience New Zealand’s longest Swing Bridge and ride the High Speed Comet Line.
Arrive at stunning Kaiteriteri on the doorstep to the Able Tasman National Park.

*Day 11 – Tuesday 22nd : Abel Tasman (B,D)
Spend the day exploring the area with optional activities such as kayaking, canyoning or sailing.
Walk or water taxi into the National Park and spend the day on secluded beaches and bays.
Meet back and head out for a final evening of fun and laughter with a Final Night Bash to celebrate a fantastic tour and new friends for life.

*Day 12 – Wednesday 23rd : Kaiteriteri – Home (B,D)
Off to Nelson Airport to say goodbye to those friends who are flying home.
The rest of us will keep travelling north to Picton to catch the ferry back to Wellington, and then home.
